Floral Supply Update September 2024

As the busy floral season continues, it’s crucial to stay updated on current flower and foliage availability from key growing regions. With production tight in South America and various shortages across Florida and the Pacific Northwest, this guide provides a detailed overview of what to expect. Whether you're planning for upcoming events or preparing your weekly orders, these insights will help you make informed purchasing decisions. 

 

South America

Limited

Amaranthus Hanging – All colors have dropped from all farms, so it is super limited.

Calla Large White – limited production as well in Cigar type and Open cut type. Crystal white limited.

Calla Mini – Crystal White & Black is very limited from all farms. Varieties not available out of SA are Accent Purple, Rudolph, Crystalblush, and Aurora Pink.

Delphinium Hybrid White - 100cm super limited

Delphinium Hybrid Light Blue - No 100cm available. Very little light blue in production generally.

Delphinium Hybrid Lavender, Manuela, Black Velvet, Pink River - Very Limited

Larkspur – ALL COLORS ARE LIMITED, NO LAVENDER, AND DARK PINK OUT OF SA

Lilies Asiatic – limited, very little in fall colors such as royal sunset, red, no cream

Marigold – very limited

Stock—production dropped big time, and we are having trouble with Peach, yellow, and white. We will cover as much as we can.

Nandina Green - Very Limited

Campanulas: Production super low in general and high demand

Carnations: Production low in a few varieties like Apple Tea. Variety Carnation Crazy Horse and Lion King will be eradicated soon.

Dianthus Green: Production low and high demand

Dianthus Solomio: Production scarce since a few farms eradicated the product

Disbuds: Production steady in general. Some varieties like crème brûlée in low production.

Lysimachia: Production low and high demand

Phlox: Production low and high demand

Trachelium: Production low in general
