We're excited to share another amazing illustration of florists coming together to save more Mayesh flowers, this time, in Portland!
After being laid off, our very own Jocelyn Kehrle (sales rep at Mayesh Portland) couldn't stand the thought of throwing out so many flowers. So she asked our Portland manager, Amy Gebhardt, if she could box up as many flowers as she could to use around the city. She teamed up with Alyssa Little of Color Theory Design Co., and together they came up with #flowertourpdx.
The idea was to create flower installations all over the city of Portland, and make a virtual map that people could use to find each installation and view them from the safety of their cars. They enlisted more Portland florist friends to take part, and got to work creating beautiful floral installations all over town. They even had a phone line for people to call and get the map, and a whopping 1500 people called in! Pretty cool stuff.
Thank you to Jocelyn for taking the lead on saving our blooms, and to the Portland floral designers who used their talents to make #flowertourpdx come to life!
