When we were first tagged on Instagram in one of the photos from this shoot by Irises Designs, my eyeballs just about popped out of my head. Seriously - the arch was that good. I knew this was a something that needed to be shared, and when I reached out to husband & wife team Erin & Ricardo Delgado to learn about the motivation behind the shoot, I was even more convinced.
The reason behind doing this shoot was so relevant to this exact moment in time as we're dealing with an entirely different landscape when it comes to weddings & events. As floral designers, you have to show your brides that their weddings can still be fabulous, even if they're not exactly what they had envisioned for their big day, and that is exactly what Irises Designs did with this South Coast Winery shoot.
Our inspiration was to show soon-to-be brides that intimate and micro weddings can be romantic, glamorous, and still provide a fabulous guest experience! We really wanted to encapsulate the romanticism of an intimate moment shared by those nearest and dearest to a newly engaged couple.
We also wanted to provide inspiration for the 2021 bride by combining an outdoor environment overlooking the rolling vineyards while providing glamorous, lush florals with a touch of a moody ambiance; think soft with a bit of edge!
