Written by Ali Dahlson | November 1, 2021

The time has come to introduce to you our sixth and FINAL Design Star of 2021! We have loved being able to share multiple designers with you this year from all around the country, and are excited to continue this new format into 2022. Stay tuned for a fabulous new lineup of designers, but before the year is up, we're thrilled to wrap up 2021 with one of our close friends & designers...

So without further ado, we give you...

Most of you probably already know Amy Balsters of The Floral Coach as she is a leading educator in the industry. Her passion truly lies in helping other designers grow their businesses & hone their design skills, hence her business name, and we are so excited to have Amy join our lineup of designers this year.

Amy Balsters is an acclaimed floral designer and educator with vast industry experience spanning two decades. Amy received her professional training at the accredited Golden West College Floral Design and Shop Management program. She built a successful freelance career working alongside many industry giants, ran her own special events studio, Amy Nicole Floral, and now uses all of her expertise to coach and train floral designers to reach their design goals.

Featured on Design Sponge as one of the “20 Florists to Follow on Instagram,” Amy has won multiple design awards including “Mastery in Principles of Design” chosen by the Senior Style Editor of Martha Stewart. In 2018 Team Flower named her “Designer of the Year” and was selected by Curate Software as an “Industry Thought Leader.” Her work has been featured and published in major national and international wedding blogs, including Martha Stewart Weddings, Once Wed, Utterly Engages and many more.

And a bit more about what she does from Amy herself:

As a classically trained florist, I am passionate about strong floral foundations and bridging old-school techniques with a new-school approach. My mission is to teach florists how to design with confidence, intention, and strategy so they can value themselves, attract the work they want and achieve their design goals.
