On November 15th, The Allied Florists of Houston held their monthly meeting at Mayesh Houston, featuring our very own Beth O'Reilly AIFD CFD TMF as this month's presenter! Early in the day, a group of designers participated in an intensive hands-on workshop with Beth, followed by the evening event & program. Leading up to the presentation, guests mingled among one another while nibbling on delicious bites from Eidelweiss Catering and sipping on refreshing drinks.
Beth's interactive demo featured a number of gorgeous designs, and like the true educator she is, Beth made sure to explain everything - from mechanics to container choice, to the reasons behind her flower choices. She engaged her audience and answered questions throughout the whole presentation, and talked techniques using Design Master products and different ways to incorporate them into designs. Beth featured a wide array of designs, from everyday sellable designs to over the top floral art. In the eloquent words of Alex Torres AIFD CFD TMF, her program was an "ethereal vision of floral divinity. Beth’s aesthetic point of view ranges from unadulterated classic form to unabashed bohemian rhapsody. Her exquisite use of color and floral selection is second to none." Quite the ringing endorsement!
It was a wonderful evening for all in attendance, and we're so glad we had the opportunity to host the last remaining Allied in Texas. For a more in-depth and beautifully written description of the event, be sure to check out Alex Torres' article in the Allied Florist's of Houston magazine.
