Building your Brand: A Content Day with Studio Wilde Floral

Written by Ali Dahlson | August 31, 2021

Building your brand & creating content that is 100% unique to YOU as a designer is so important, especially with the sheer number of emerging floral artists in today's industry. But it's easier said than done, right?

What sets you apart from other designers? How do you attract the right clients for your business? These questions can be overwhelming and tough to articulate, but at the end of the day, you  should focus on creating art and floral pieces that you love and would want at your own wedding or event, and doing a branding photoshoot, or passion project, is a great place to start.

Enter Sarah Kettler of Studio Wilde Floral in Michigan. As a relatively new florist, Sarah knew she wanted to create content that represented her brand, and this passion project turned content creation day was wildly successful, in our humble opinion. We wanted to share what she created because one, it's just too insane not to spread all over the Internet. And two, to inspire you to bring your floral fantasies into reality and invest in your business in order to attract the clientele of your dreams.

Here's a little bit about the thought process that went into this "Content Creation Day" for Studio Wilde:

These shoots were a labor of love, truly visions brought to life. It all started with an idea, and a crazy timeline of things just lining up perfectly! From finding the most amazing models, to the PERFECT venue just falling into my lap. I knew then I would do whatever it took to get this vision out of my brain and into real life! Having diversity with the sets, and the models was important to me. These photos represent myself and my brand, it is important to portray that I am inclusive and accepting. Being a newer florist, these were the first large-scale installations I have done. Installations make me so happy. A lot of the inspiration from this shoot came from thinking about my 'dream client', someone who is obsessed with florals, who is creative, relaxed, and just down to have fun and get funky. :)

Though Sarah created multiple different concepts, there is a clear vision & consistent voice throughout, and you can really tell a lot about Sarah, not only as a designer, but also as a person, through these shoots. And that, my friends, is how you stand out in a sea of talented floral designers and attract the clients that  YOU want to work with.
