From Farm to Float: Thousands & Thousands

From Farm to Float: Thousands & Thousands

Here's another sneak peek inside Mayesh Riverside as the team prepares flowers to be shipped to Phoenix Decorating Company in Pasadena, California. Did you know that the parade never takes place on a Sunday? So this year's parade will take place on Monday, January 2nd.

Pam Uranga, Mayesh's Vice President of Supply Chain, gives you a tour of thousands, upon thousands of flowers that are destined for fantastical floral floats. You'll see roses, 9,000 stems of anthurium, cymbidiums, phalaenopsis orchids,  various tropicals including heliconia, tulips, hyacinths, freesia, mini callas, 16,000 stems of gerberas, iris, China mums, hybrid delphinium, hanging amaranthus, protea from San Diego, sunflowers, hellebores, craspedia, and thousands more of various stems of flowers. The last clip of this video is an ariel view of the entire cooler filled to the brim just for the parade! We cannot wait to see how these blooms transform the whimsical and creative floats that we will see in a couple of days!
