Healing Blooms
When Jelena Trifunovic of Viola Floral approached us about her idea for a flower arranging class for cancer survivors, we knew it was something we wanted to be a part of. Mayesh and Mayesh LAX are honored to be partnering with Viola Floral and the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research on Jelena's new program, Healing Blooms.
Healing Blooms is a no-cost flower arranging class for cancer patients, currently being held virtually over Zoom with plans for in-person classes in the future. The class supports survivors on their healing journey, while raising awareness for pancreatic cancer.
Classes are taught by Viola Floral founder Jelena Trifunovic, M.A., a floral designer, seasoned K-12 science educator, and mother of three, whose passion for giving back is centered on the love for her late mother, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2016. Jelena and her mother often arranged flowers together, and now Jelena is honored to share the joy of flowers to provide healing through floral therapy.

The first Healing Bloom event was last Saturday, and it was filled with creativity, hope and joy. Here are some photos that are sure to warm your heart. Flowers truly are a beautiful form of therapy and bring so much light and joy to people. We're excited for this program to grow and continue providing beautiful, seasonal blooms to help in the healing process.
