Mayesh Portland Grand Re-Opening Recap
A few weekends ago, Mayesh Portland invited customers to join them in celebrating the opening of their brand new space in the Portland Flower Market! It was a great success thanks to manager Amy Gebhardt and the support of her team, not to mention how awesome the new space itself is! Large, open and fresh, Amy has done a great job transforming the space in to a completely branded, Mayesh location that is welcoming to customers and the ideal place to host a party. The furniture rentals she ordered from Westcoast Event Productions were even on brand - you made the marketing team proud, Amy ;)
The event itself garnered about 200 guests plus a number of Mayesh employees and members of the family, myself included. The evening kicked off with a collaborative, hands-on demonstration with Debra Prinzing of Slowflowers.com & Katie Davis of Ponderosa & Thyme. Debra created two arrangements, focusing on all local product, while Katie made a textural hand-tied bouquet using a mixture of local and imported blooms. Debra & Katie were a great duo, and the audience loved them!
Throughout the rest of the night, guests enjoyed a beautiful charcuterie spread from local caterer White Pepper, sipped on drinks (poured by yours truly and my cousin/fellow marketing guru Jenn McJunkins), listened to live music by The Last Holdouts, and mingled with industry professionals and the Mayesh community. David Shwartz of BloomNation attended as well, opening himself up to talk to anyone interested in learning more about what BloomNation has to offer.
Behind the scenes - how cute is Jenn the Bartender with her little step stool?!
Thanks to everyone who joined us for an awesome event, and to the Mayesh Portland staff for helping put on such a great party! Check out the rest of the event photos in the slideshow below.
