MDS x Beautiful People: Eclectic Tablescape

MDS x Beautiful People: Eclectic Tablescape

In her second video, Jayne Kim of Still Carnations is talking tablescapes! Eclectic spring tablescapes, to be more specific.

After choosing a grounding element to inspire the tablescape and create a cohesive design - in this case, a patterned plate by Mackenzie Childs - she selects her complementing flowers in an analogous color palette (opposite of her floral nest!) to complement the color story inspired by the plate. She then creates a variety of minimal floral arrangements at varying sizes & heights to place throughout the table along with other design elements, creating playful little moments that keep your eye moving & entertained. Even though many different elements & flower varieties are incorporated, keeping within the same color story creates a cohesive yet dynamic tablescape, sure to delight the guests that will come together at the table during your client's event!
